As a youngster, Noddy was always at the handlebars of a two-wheel machine, driven by a keen interest in engines and motorcycles. Despite qualifying as an electrical tradesman, his true passion lay in motorcycle mechanics.
Rise in the Motorcycle Community:
With a natural talent for problem-solving and repair, Noddy quickly became a well-known figure in the motorcycle fraternity. His reputation led Michael Crawford to approach him in 1981 to become the head mechanic for the British Superbike Championship, marking the beginning of Noddy’s journey into international superbike racing.
Leadership and Mentorship:
Over the years, Noddy managed national racing teams such as Pro Honda, Winston Racing, and Suzuki Racing. His level-headed approach and commitment to fitness in cycling and running inspired confidence and positivity among riders and team members alike.
Legacy in South African Racing:
Noddy’s expertise contributed to the success of South African racing champions like the late Heindrich Rheeder (Winston Yamaha), Buks Boshof, Greg Dreyer, and Greg Geldenhuys, who all claimed first place in numerous championships.
Establishing BikeWorx:
Since 1994, Noddy has been offering comprehensive services for motorcycles at BikeWorx, specializing in diagnostics and approved DynoJet tuning. Under his leadership, BikeWorx has opened doors in diagnostics, legacy, and race bike setups.
Comprehensive Workshop Services:
BikeWorx boasts a fully equipped workshop capable of handling all fabrication, development, and prototyping needs.
